Uokuni

If you’re unsure what to order for lunch at Uokuni, the daily Japanese set meal is worth considering. One diner recalled the oden broth, thick hanpen fish cake and minced tuna as particular highlights; the meal also came with miso soup. The daily selection changes, but it’s an option when you’re in the mood for a set meal with a fish dish.

For sashimi, the menu lists chirashi topped with sashimi as Uokuni’s most popular choice, priced at 1,000 yen. Set meals include the limited-availability grilled fish-collar set (1,760 yen) and sashimi set (2,530 yen). Diners who ordered the grilled collar or sashimi set have described the portions as generous. Fried octopus is another option to add on the side.

At lunchtime, choose from set meals and chirashi. In the evening, sushi and sashimi can be enjoyed with a drink.
